Summer Programs

For Students in Grades 7-12

Each summer, CEP partners with two of the nation's premier gifted education centers to offer three-week service-learning courses for outstanding students from across the country. CEP courses explore social theory, leadership, and community development, and help teach young people how to apply their skills and abilities to pressing social issues in their own communities. Our courses are offered as part of the regular summer programs of Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development (CTD), and Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented Youth (CTY).

CTD and CTY Summer Programs combine the inspiration and excitement of being at a world-class university with challenging and fun courses, wonderful recreational activities, the cultural riches of a great city, and opportunities to make life-long friendships with peers.

CEP offers the following courses during the summer:

The Civic Leadership Institute for students who have completed grades 10-12.

Youth & Society Honors for students who have completed grades 7-9.
