Application & Hiring Process
1. Before you complete this application, please be sure you have thoroughly reviewed all of the information on our website about our summer programs and summer staff positions. Once you are ready to apply, simply complete the online application below, and submit this form along with your resume and personal statement (see Section H: Completing Your Application).
2. Spring and summer staff applications are accepted beginning in December 2007. Summer staff consideration begins February 15, 2008 and continues until all positions have been filled. Applications are reviewed on a rollling basis as they are received, so candidates are encouraged to apply early to ensure full consideration. You will be notified via email when we have received your complete application.
3. Candidates receiving further consideration will be invited to participate in an interview, in person or via telephone beginning in early March. Candidates may also be asked to submit additional materials, including lesson or activity plans, official undergraduate and graduate transcripts, copies of teaching certifications, and additional references.
4. Most hiring decisions will be made by the end of April, although the hiring process often continues into May and even June as additional positions become available. Applicants will be notified of their status as soon as all positions are filled.
Thanks for your interest in the Civic Education Project. With questions about our summer staff positions, or to check on the status of your application, contact us at 847-467-2572 or cep@northwestern.edu.
