Payment Procedure
- A check or money order for the application fee and tuition deposit
must accompany all applications;
- Make checks payable to "Center for Talent Development";
- All Leapfrog fees and tuition payments must be included with the completed
application unless the student is applying for financial aid;
- For Apogee, Spectrum, and Equinox students, all applications (including
financial aid applicants) must include a $250 deposit ($50 nonrefundable
application fee plus $200 tuition deposit);
- Apogee, Spectrum, and Equinox applications postmarked after May 15,
2008 must include two checks: a $300 check for the application fee,
late fee, and tuition deposit; and an additional check for the remaining
tuition balance (total tuition fee minus $200);
- The deadline for payment of the fee balance is June 2nd. Students
with an outstanding balance after the deadline may lose their place in
the program;
- All applications postmarked after May 15th must also include
a $50 late fee;
- Payment plans for students not receiving financial aid carry additional
charges.
Refund Policy
- All requests for refunds and/or withdrawals must be made in
writing and either e-mailed, faxed or mailed to CTD by June 2, 2008.
- If a student withdraws in writing between the June 2 deadline and the start of the program, CTD will refund 50% of the program fees paid, less the deposit.
- Once a program begins, no monies are refunded. Students dismissed for disciplinary reasons are not eligible for any refund.
- The non-refundable $50 application fee will not be returned under any circumstances.
- Refund processing takes a minimum of eight weeks starting from the time a written request is received by CTD.
Financial Aid
A financial aid application
is available. The Center for Talent Development offers a limited amount
of need-based financial aid. Students who live in a foster home or federally
subsidized housing projects, or whose families receive public aid, are
also eligible for financial aid. The Summer Program application must be
accompanied by:
- A $250 deposit (which includes the $50 non-refundable application
fee and the $200 tuition deposit); Applicants to the Leapfrog program must submit a $100 deposit (which includes the $50 non-refundable application fee and a $50 tuition deposit);
- A completed financial aid application;
- A written Statement of Need describing in detail the nature of the
financial need for the student; and
- A copy of the current year's tax return.
Decisions on financial aid applications are only made once a complete
Financial Aid Application and a complete Application for Admission are
received. Students seeking financial aid are encouraged to apply early,
as aid money is limited. Families applying for aid may also be eligible
for a payment plan.
An invoice reflecting the amount of financial aid granted with the
balance due will be sent with the admissions decision or within three
weeks of the financial aid request. Final payment must be received before
the start of the session.
