Direct service hours include hands-on facilitation of projects and activities for community organizations and individuals where students have the opportunity to engage with business, government, and nonprofit leaders, as well as volunteers and clients.
Service-learning credit hours include curriculum activities such as instructor led team-building activities, group discussions and reflection, hearing from guest speakers, and independent course work (including readings, research, writing, and project development).
