Program Review
Programs should reflect best practices, meet state and national guidelines, and have demonstrable impact. CTD will help assess your services and set priorities for improvement. Comprehensive program reviews can be customized to your goals and budget, but typically include:
- Presentations to school or district leaders and stakeholders
- Stakeholder surveys based on the National Association for Gifted Children’s (NAGC) Pre-K – Grade 12 Gifted Education Programming Standards
- Stakeholder focus groups
- Classroom observations
- Above-grade-level assessment of students
Following the review, CTD provides a report with recommendations in each priority area identified.
Program review costs are generally between $5,000 and $20,000, but vary based on review components and size of the project.

Program Design and Policy Development
Are you in need of expanded or re-designed programming? Does your school or district need a new acceleration policy or help with identification procedures? CTD staff members are available to discuss your needs, share research and recommended practices, help review state and local guidelines, make recommendations, and help draft language for your policies and procedures. Work can be done on an hourly or project basis. Hourly rates start at $250.
Assessment and Data Review
Invest in an in-depth, hands-on session with a CTD assessment specialist, tailored to your data and desired outcomes or provide above-grade-level assessment to students to understand their need for acceleration. CTD provides support and training for
- Grade-level or above-grade-level assessment data
- Above-grade-level testing
- Comparative analysis of data sets
- Understanding growth for advanced learners
- Needs identification and programming recommendations
Assessment and data consultations can be done on an hourly or project basis. Hourly rates start at $250.
Customized Consulting Packages
CTD can provide guidance on a variety of topics to help you improve your programs and services for advanced students and increase engagement with your stakeholders. Invest in consulting with CTD to help your school or district with the following:
