Advanced learners have educational needs that require educators and administrators to have specialized knowledge and skillsets. They also need high-quality gifted education programs. Center for Talent Development (CTD) at Northwestern University has developed professional learning for teachers that provides the knowledge and skills classroom teachers and administrators need to identify exceptional academic talent, develop their gifted and talented curriculum, provide appropriate instructional support, and help students achieve optimal growth.
This 15-hour training is available virtually with several live, hour long online discussion sessions.
Boot Camp for SAA will run from January 8, 2025 - February 28, 2025. It will cover the following topics, and more, in five different learning modules.
A capstone project will round out the course.
15 ISBE Professional Development Hours are available for the completed course.
