Academic Adventure, Lifetime Impact

CTD's cutting-edge research, innovative programs and services, and holistic approach impact the lives of thousands of students, their parents, and educators each year, but many thousands more could benefit from CTD programs.

Here's how you can make an impact:

  • Give course supplies and books or a scholarship to an Encounters Saturday program ($100)
  • Give to support summer program social and recreational activities ($250)
  • Give housing for a summer program ($550)
  • Provide an instructor or teaching assistant ($750-$2,000)
  • Pay for a student's 6-week program tuition ($395) or pay for 3-week summer residential program tuition ($5,500)
  • Support a Coughlin STEM Scholar for the year ($6500)

CTD General Scholarships

CTD uses gifts to our general fund to provide financial aid for students to attend our summer, weekend, online, or leadership programs. Tuition can range from $100 to $6,000 per program.

Civic Education Project Fund

The Civic Education Project inspires and trains outstanding students to become active, engaged citizens through innovative school-year and summer leadership and service-learning programs.

Cathy Coughlin STEM Scholars

The Cathy Coughlin STEM Scholars program provides girls from the Chicago area, who are demonstrating exceptional academic potential, three years of enrichment and accelerated STEM programming and academic guidance designed to prepare them for advanced coursework in high school and beyond.

Sandra Dennhardt Technology Scholarship Fund

This fund provides a partial tuition scholarship for students enrolled in an eligible technology class in a CTD summer program. Depending upon the funds available and the application pool, one or more students may receive partial tuition scholarships. This fund is administered and maintained by Northwestern University Information Technology (NUIT).
