CTD offers hundreds of online enrichment and credit-bearing courses each year for students in Pre-K - grade 12.
We take pride in our excellent instructional staff who join us from around the country to teach online learners in a challenging, supportive classroom. If you're looking for an online, part-time teaching position in an educationally progressive environment, we'd love to hear from you!
CTD offers a variety of online teaching options. We encourage applicants to review the CTD's online program models to determine the best fit for their skills and experience.
Given the pace of the program and course work, and the intellectual demands of the students, instructors must be content experts, veteran, master teachers, experienced with online instruction, and adept at using a variety of teaching methods, differentiating instruction, and employing assessment tools to guide student learning.
Across all program models, instructors receive coaching, individualized technical support, training resources, and professional development opportunities to set instructors up for success in the online classroom.

School Year & Summer Courses
Online Family Program courses consist of 4 weekly modules on a topic in Language Arts or STEM subject areas. Courses serve students in grade bands K-1 and 2-3; sessions are offered year-round.

Instructor compensation starts at $540. There is a course development stipend for new courses, if applicable.

Online Enrichment (Grades 3-8) and Core Essentials (Grades 3-8) courses are offered in Language Arts, Humanities, and STEM subject areas. Courses are offered in 9-week sessions year-round.

Instructor compensation starts at $945 (Online Enrichment courses) and $1,300 (Online Core Essentials courses) for up to 7 students per course, and increases based on enrollment.

Online Honors, Online AP®, and Online Accelerated Summer Option (ASO) courses are offered in Language Arts, Humanities, and STEM subject areas for students grades 6-12. Courses are offered throughout the academic year (as Honors and AP® courses) and in the summer (as ASO courses).
All courses offer one or two semesters of high school credit. Honors courses must be NCAA accredited and AP® courses must be authorized by the College Board.
