Aspiring engineers investigate how components connect to make working electronics as they learn to power motors, make LEDs shine, move wheels, and activate buttons. Combining hands-on introductory electronics tools with everyday objects, students develop their own moving and blinking creations. Class projects develop the building blocks needed for future coding, robotics, and engineering courses.

SUBJECT AREA: Technology & Engineering  

This is a 6-week, asynchronous, flexibly paced course within the Online Enrichment Program. Students should expect 2-5 hours of course work per week. Session dates: January 31 - March 13, 2024.

Online Family Program (OFP) courses for younger students typically involve more parent participation than OFP courses for older students. Instructors provide ongoing feedback to students and parents through discussion boards to provide maximum flexibility for families’ schedules. The course does not include live, synchronous sessions.
